The boys sure look good in red, don't they?

And yes, those are the true colors, with lighting provided by this magnificent October sky:

I think we could benefit from some intelligent player analysis and team counselling like this:

Close call — next game!

Perfect weather. The not-so-bad pitch "N" in the very far SE corner of Shamrock Park. Out where the wide shots hit traffic. Our second match of the season, but the fifth for our opponents, after three straight victories. Now four.

Neither team played particularly well today. Not many open chances either way. Veto got ahead in the first half, but Andrea equalised (or was Nissen the last touch?) after a nice offensive. The game opened up a bit more in the second half, and then Veto got the freak goal with the ball bouncing off of some random players leg into an empty goal. End result, 1‒2.

2011 starts 3–3

That was one heck of a come-back, guyees. 1–0 after half a minute, on the season's very first offensive, then back to 1–3 after a couple of organisational mistakes. Coming back to an equal 3–3 with fight and dedication. Excellent day.

A few blind spots in the Italian football dictionary were revealed during the game:

"Excellent pass!"

"Wow, what a tackle!"

"That is a great save!"

"Ref! REEEF! Are you blind AND deaf??!?"

Training Tuesday

3 Hölderlings showed up yesterday for the first training in Fælledparken this season. Thank you Ole and Filippo! And for the rest of you: That is just not good enough! ;-) Anyway, we were in luck since a bunch of kids (swedes and danes) needed a football lesson (ahem), so we got a good game going after all.

Would be great to have a stronger Hölderlin representation next time! So be there at 18 on Tuesday!
Maybe we should arrange a weekend training session, since a lot of people signed up for the game that is now postponed?

Tip for your calendar: Add webcalender to Outlook or Google Calendar (or ...) with the Hölderlin matches. Use this link from DAI:

Italian Football Vocabulary

I think we should start working on an Italian football vocabulary, for these reasons:
1) For some matches the majority of players will be of Italian descent
2) It will be harder for our opponents to figure out what we're saying!
3) I think it would be cool :-)
4) no more reasons

For example I would like to know how to say / shout:

Danish: Ryg!
English: Watch your back!
Italian: ????

Danish: Aflevér!
English: Pass the fucking ball, Ole!
Italian: ?????

Danish: Du er ikke Maradona, stop bolden!
English: Mikkel, you're not Maradona, stop the ball!
Italian: ?????

Danish: Kom nu!
English: Go, go, go
Italian: Dai, Dai, Dai

etc.
